Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date: 7 September 2026

Draft placeholder. This page is a starting template, not legal advice. Replace the bracketed fields with your actual refund window and business details, and have it reviewed before relying on it in production — payment processors such as Razorpay typically require a published refund/cancellation policy before activating live payments.

1. Subscription billing

Paid plans are billed in advance for a monthly or yearly cycle and processed by our payment processor, Razorpay. Your plan determines the monthly credit allowance used for publishing and AI-generation actions.

2. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel a subscription at any time from Settings > Billing. Cancellation stops future renewals but takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access to paid features and any remaining credits until that period ends. We do not charge a cancellation fee.

3. Refund eligibility

Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis in the following situations:

  • Duplicate or accidental charge: a second charge for the same billing period caused by a payment error;
  • Service unavailability: Autopubly was materially unavailable for a significant part of the paid period due to an issue on our side;
  • First-time subscribers: a request made within [X days, e.g. 7] of your first paid charge, provided you have not substantially used your plan's credits.

Outside of these cases, fees already charged are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused credits after substantial usage, or simply changing your mind after using the Service.

4. How to request a refund

Email billing@autopubly.com with your account email and invoice/payment reference within [X days] of the charge. We aim to respond within [X business days]. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Razorpay and may take [5–10 business days] to appear, depending on your bank or card network.

5. Downgrades and plan changes

Switching to a lower-priced plan takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle; we do not issue a partial-period refund for the difference. Switching to a higher-priced plan is charged immediately, prorated for the remainder of the current cycle.

6. Failed or disputed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and will email you to update your payment method. If payment cannot be completed, your plan may be downgraded to the free tier at the end of the current period. If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank — we're able to resolve most billing issues directly and faster.
